A very big thank you to all those who attended the SA Sailing AGM on Monday, 29 August.
It was a well-attended and successful meeting where it was decided that the current council will remain as is for the season ahead.
With the countdown well and truly on to the massive celebration for SA Sailing’s 75th anniversary, it felt like a good time to look both forward (to the exciting events in store at the end of the year) and back at where some of our great sailing clubs have come from.

Steering the Course is an international opportunity for women across the world to have a go at sailing, while also encouraging pathways into coaching and race management. This is a global initiative to bring together sailing communities and encourage new women and girls to fall in love with the sport.
Congratulations to this year’s hard-working recipients of the SA Sailing awards. These sailors have gone above and beyond in making an impact on- and excelling in the sport

I do believe that we had a very professional and successful AGM. I hope you were impressed by the quality of the offering presented by our staff. Personally, I was very proud to be able to present our federation to the membership and to the outside observers in such a positive and professional manner.
