SA sailor switches boats to book Olympic spot

If all goes according to plan, South Africa will have two boats in the Olympic sailing programme in Tokyo this year. That’s after Leo Davis secured a qualification spot at last week’s Finn Gold Cup in Portugal to join Benji Daniel and Alex Burger, who qualified in the 49er class.

Team Sailing League - Western Cape

Milnerton Aquatic Club (MAC) took custody of the Western Cape SAS Team Sailing League boats in September 2020, a convoy of odd bakkies and multiple trailers setting out to liberate the seven boats from Imperial Yacht Club. The boats will be based at MAC until the end of August 2023. Read more...

Sailing Wins Big at Wits Sports Awards

The future of sailing is clearly in good hands â€“ judging by the recipients at the annual Wits Sports Awards. The sport celebrated several major accolades, including Michaela Robinson being named as the universityâ€™s Sports Woman of the Year.
