THE EASTERN CAPE SAILING ASSOCIATION

This is an association of sailing clubs and classes of sailing boats in the EASTERN CAPE region.

LOCATION OF THE EASTERN CAPE REGION

Political definition:
The region incorporates the whole of the Eastern Cape Province and a large section of the Southern Cape/Garden Route.

Geographic definition:
Southern Coastal area of South Africa.

OBJECTIVES :

To promote, co-ordinate and administer sailing in the EASTERN CAPE region.

ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE:

Executive Committee
The executive committee is responsible for the overall promotion, co-ordination and administration of sailing in the region. It also acts as the South African Sailing (SAS) Regional Committee.

This committee comprises of:

Plus Chairmen of the following sub-committees:

arrow Dinghy
arrow Keelboat
arrow Ladies
arrow Radio Sailing
arrow Youth

Sub-Committees
Sub-Committees are responsible for the promotion, co-ordination and administration of sailing in the region of their particular disipline.

These sub-committees comprise of representitives of sailing Clubs and Classes of boats in the particular disipline for which the sub-committee is responsible.

These respresetatives annually elect  a Chaiman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary for their particular sub-committee.
