In order to get a CoF from SAS your yacht has been listed in your name on the SAS database. Listing requires proof of ownership as described on the application form.

The charge for getting your vessel listed in your name through SAS is given in our price list.

When you list your boat, you get an "SA" number if it is a sailing boat or a "ZA" number if it is a power boat. The SA or ZA number has to be displayed on your boat.

If you wish to change your vessel’s name, you have to apply for a new certificate of listing. The SA or ZA number does not change. The charge is much less than the charge for a change of ownership.
